Parajumpers unite with 3D mountain-modelling project Territoriotipo

for an all-new capsule collection dedicated to the Marmolada mountain.

Known as the Queen of the Dolomites, Marmolada towers above the other mountains in the range. It’s a vision of rock and ice, its staggering peaks capped with snow all year round. Inspired by its imposing beauty, Parajumpers have teamed up with Territoriotipo, a project from FabLab Venezia that uses open-source government data to create cutting-edge 3D models of mountains. Together, they’ve created Mountain Wireframe, a new capsule collection based around a painstaking render of the Marmolada’s sublime form.
The intricate graphic tells the breath-taking story of the mountain, from its minimum elevation of 1,450 metres at Malga Ciapela to the 3,343-metre height of its peak at Punta Penia. It’s a feat of technical prowess: a jaw-dropping 2.3 million vertices and 4.5 million polygons that span 32km². A striking synthesis of delicate and rugged, natural and manmade, the distinctive form of Marmolada is seen here printed on jackets, overshirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts and accessories.
The first series to feature the graphic is Mountain Fleece, a range of T-shirts and sweatshirts with the 3D model emblazoned on the front or back. Available in muted tones as well as bright pops of citrus yellow and pale blue, the sweatshirts are made from an ultra-soft, cotton-blend fleece.
The second is Mountain Wireframe, which contains a jacket and an overshirt printed with an abstract, all-over version of the Marmolada wireframe. Available in white or dark green, both are made from resilient mini ripstop with a water-protective coating. Zipped pockets and cuffed sleeves add a military-inspired cool to these lightweight yet high-performance pieces.
This series also features a range of accessories, with two hats – a bucket hat and a cap – made from water-resistant ripstop overlaid with the elegant forms of the mountain landscape.
