A new editorial collaboration celebrates the beauty of a country summer
Sunlight filters through the leaves of the trees, sparkling off the water, dappling the shade. In the glade, our group laugh and joke with an easy camaraderie, an effortless playfulness. Time is forgotten: this is a day that seems to have no end. Natural Light, the latest creative collaboration between Parajumpers and Metal magazine, is a vision, an ethos, a state of mind.
For men, the edit focuses on lightweight, easy-to-wear pieces. There’s Mitch, a pair of swim shorts made from micro-ottoman in vintage-inspired tones. With a loose fit and adjustable waist, they’re perfect for days spent in the sun – whether in the water or on dry land.
Pair with Tobin, a short-sleeved shirt that takes its cues from classic military silhouettes. Crafted from bio-washed stretch twill, it’s an easy-going yet stylish take on summer separates.
When the evenings grow cooler choose Kip, a soft cotton-jersey sweatshirt rendered in a sunshine-bright colour of yellow, and Osage, a pair of slouchy sweatpants in cotton and micro-ottoman with an elasticated pull-on waist. Or for the ultimate grab–and-go piece, find Sam, a padded satin bomber that offers an elevated, luxury take on workwear.
The women’s edit sees an elegant, feminine take on summer casual. Crafted from bouclé jersey, our Bia sweatpants are a twist on leisurewear – soft, cosy yet fashionable – and an ideal accompaniment to our piqué knit Shan polo shirt, garment-dyed and enzyme-washed for effortless style.
When the sun goes down, there’s Maki, a padded gilet crafted from glossy taffeta that’s made to be slung over one of our Plain Tees, or Carmen, an ultra-lightweight organza jacket that’s both high-fashion and high-resilience. And if the drizzle begins, don’t worry – just make sure you have Yakura, a full-length waterproof jacket with a cinched waist and flared sleeves.
