Reinterpreting the Gobi jacket as handwoven steel armor, metal wires trace a physical journey through contemporary craftsmanship. By transforming the original garment into a wearable wire sculpture, the piece redefines protection, turning outerwear into an iconic, light-catching, transparent form.
Giacomo Bevanati ( @giacomo.bevanati ) is a wire sculptor based between Spain and England. As a self-taught artist, he entirely handweaves metal wires to give life to three-dimensional sculptures with a strong visual and poetic impact. Exploring transparency, lightness, and spatial perception, his artistic practice celebrates the ritual of fine craftsmanship and the transformation of raw metal.
