PARAJUMPERS X FUCKING YOUNG!: MY OWN WAY

Fresh details and sculptural depths
provide a playful update on the classics
What does it mean to dream the impossible? To choose your own path, regardless of others? To embrace the joy of the unknown? MY OWN WAY, Parajumpers’ editorial collaboration with Fucking Young! magazine, is a quest to discover answers to these questions – only to find them in the journey itself.
A biannual print publication with a youthful take on fashion, FY! is the perfect match for the playful and adventurous spirit of the Parajumpers’ summer collection. Think mischievous exuberance combined with effortless cool: surreal imagery, bold shapes and fresh prints.
For men, updated takes on classic items take precedence. We see this in pieces like the glossy, iridescent Techno Puffers series, with their ciré finish ripstop and punchy, vibrant colour schemes. The Rayner jacket plays with military detailing for an updated, breezy take on vintage uniforms, while the Pararescue series reinvents the archetypal slouchy bomber.
In bottoms, the Pima cotton Zander pants and Chip shorts are garment-dyed and enzyme-washed for an easygoing, lighthearted feel, while the Cairo sweat shorts are crafted from carefree cotton-blend fleece.
The Boe, Cristallo and Seceda Tees pair soft cotton jersey with a unique print derived from a 3-D scan of the Dolomites’ highest mountain, Marmolada. This render also adorns the Mountain Wireframe Marmolada and Millard jackets – made from mini ripstop with polyurethane lamination. Layer this over a lightweight knit like the garment-dyed, enzyme-washed Scoe sweater, crafted from a cotton-bamboo blend.
For women, we find items with playful, sculptural depths. For instance, the ultra-glossy, down-filled pieces of the Moonshine series include the Petronel jacket, with its zip-pocket details, and the plush, hooded forms of the Melua jacket and Karissa gilet.
There’s also the matte taffeta of our Super Lightweight puffer Geena, as well as our Olivia hybrid, which marries quilted shiny taffeta with a honeycomb knit for a reinterpretation of the classic light puffer.
Oversized silhouettes also feature, seen in the breezy lines of the Parachute jacket or the double-layer bonded Rica, available in a bright, zesty pink. Match with the brushed-cotton Space Fleece sweats in an off-white tone for maximum impact.
