LEATHER AND SHEEPSKIN

The leather and sheepskin used by PARAJUMPERS come from the food industry. Our products do not come from animals protected by CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), but from sheep that are reared in flocks. Furthermore, the skins are not tanned with whale oil or other cetacean oils.

DOWN POLICY

The down inside our jackets is either 90/10 or 100% duck down originating from both Asian and European countries. We, at Parajumpers, feel very strongly about animal welfare and, therefore, require that all our down suppliers provide proof that their material is exclusively a by-product of the food industry and that the animals are not plucked alive. Not only do we request signed declarations stating this from the suppliers themselves, we also require that their down be certified by an accredited third-party certification body, such as IDFL (International Down and Feather Testing Laboratory) or EDFA (European Down and Feather Association).
