Artist Tim Burke chose the Orange Super Lightweight
Detroiter Tim Burke calls himself an artist, a scavenger, devoted to the reuse of refuse that uses cast-off scraps from Detroit's past to create creatures that conjure up the future.
The process of giving old materials new life is a labor of love for Burke, who finds it therapeutic. "Recycling has social, psychological and spiritual dimensions that keep me coming back for more," said the artist.
We met him in Detroit and take a picture of Tim wearing an orange Super Lightweight from Parajumpers AW 2012-13.
In the SS2012 season, the Super Lightweight series, which was only for woman, was an incredible success right from the first deliveries in December.
This lightweight down for the mid-season is, in fact, perfect both for travelling and for city life, as well as for those who are always on the go and need to have the proper protection against the cold.
These garments can be rolled up and easily packed into a suitcase, or even a briefcase, taking up very little space, without losing their original look and elegance.
The jackets are made of a down-proof 20 den nylon, with direct injection 90/10 down padding.
